Who we are
GraveListing.com is an online marketplace where individuals can advertise cemetery plots, crypts, niches, and related burial rights for sale, and where buyers can contact sellers. GraveListing.com acts as a listing and introduction service. We are not a party to sales between buyers and sellers, we do not hold buyer or seller funds, and transfers of burial rights are completed through the cemetery office that holds the records for the property.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, and the login details you create.
- Listing information. When you list a property, we collect the details you provide about it (cemetery, section, lot and grave identifiers, price, description, and photographs) and publish the listing details you approve on the website.
- Inquiries and messages. When you contact us or a seller through the website, by email, by phone, or by text message, we keep the content of that communication and your contact details so we can respond and coordinate introductions.
- Payment information. Listing fees paid by credit card are processed by our payment provider through the website checkout. We do not store full credit card numbers on our website. Fees paid by Interac e-transfer are received through our email address.
- Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting and security services automatically record technical information such as IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited, for security and site-operation purposes.
How we use your information
We use personal information to: operate and administer your account and listings; publish the listings you have approved; respond to inquiries; introduce buyers and sellers who have asked to be connected; arrange appointments and viewings; process listing fees; send service-related emails (and text messages only as described in the SMS section below); maintain records of transactions and consent; protect the security of the website; and meet our legal obligations.
We do not publish sellers’ personal phone numbers or email addresses in listings. Public listings show GraveListing.com’s contact information, and introductions between buyers and sellers are made by us with the parties’ agreement.
Sharing of information
We share personal information only as needed to operate the service: with the buyer or seller you have agreed to be introduced to; with the cemetery office involved in a transfer, where needed to complete it; with service providers who help us run the website, email, phone, and payment systems, so they can perform their functions; and where required by law. We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Cookies
The website uses cookies that are necessary for it to function (for example, keeping you signed in) and cookies set by the services embedded in the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect site features.

Consent to receive text messages. We send text messages only to people who have voluntarily agreed to receive them.
